Details:
The IT Manager is responsible for providing and maintaining the communication links and computer services / data networking systems for the building staff, exhibitors and show management as well as coordinating necessary services provided by the County and Contractors. Duties include long-range systems planning, system design and implementation, documentation, system repairs, upgrades and maintenance, training for applications and general support system administration. The goal is an on-going effort to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the internet necessary networking equipment, telephone, wireless communication and overall technology services in the Convention Center.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent experience.
• Four to six years of experience in network/server administration and a familiarity with voice systems environments and associated billing systems.
• Three to five years of management or professional leadership experience.
• Documented experience managing information technology software applications and network development and operations.
• Experience in project planning/management.
• Effective interpersonal and communications skills; ability to foster teamwork and interdepartmental cooperation.
• Ability to communicate with users possessing varying levels of computer experience.
• Familiar with other disciplines including Card Access System, CCTV, Audio Visual and Digital Signage.
• Thorough understanding of the following preferred (including latest versions): Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Software packages, IIS Web Server, Microsoft SQL, Symantec Backup Exec, LAN Networking, Avaya/Definity & Intuity Message Manager, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Photoshop, and other pertinent disciplines.
• One or more of the following Certifications: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer); MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional); MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional); Comp-Tia A+ Certification; CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate); CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• Subcontract Management
• Read, prepare, and interpret floor plans, set-up drawings and other specifications for systems. Be able to write specifications, manuals and working documents to assist users.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language
• Willing and able to work flexible work schedule and long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
