Responsibilities
-Supervises and evaluates the work of box office employees and part time box office representatives
-Effectively recommends personnel actions related to selection, performance review, scheduling and discipline
-Administers personnel and related policies and procedures
-Manages ticket sales for the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center
-Maintains daily ticket office accounting records, balance and deposits all ticket monies daily. Including but not limited to the ESR report, daily accounting reports, promoters event audits, etc.
-Advises promoters on setting up the ticketing system for their event with Paciolan
-Compiles and builds individual events. Setting up ticket prices, discounts, seating charts, and other information that pertains to the event
-Plans schedule for needed personnel for part time staff on a monthly basis
-Prepares and interprets event sales statement, and other related reports.
-Responsible for preparing and monitoring budget items related to box office functions
-Investigates questions and problems related to ticket sales and develops solutions for the general public, event promoters, ticket office personnel and management
-Responsible for installation, training, and maintenance of ticket outlets
-Monitors change needs for the department and orders change requests as needed for events
-Builds and maintains season ticketed events
-Performs related duties as may be required
Qualifications:
-Graduate of an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration or related field
-Two to three years’ experience in box office operations
-Two or more years supervisory experience or any combination of education and experience that will have provided the required knowledge, skills and abilities
-Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations
-Ability to work with, motivate, support and involve employees in accomplishing goals and objectives
-Ability to implement modern office procedures
-Ability to define, analyze and solve problems
-Ability to coordinate ticket office procedures with other staff
-Ability to work variable hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
-Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
-Ability to safely and accurately handle and account for large sums of money
-Ability to handle difficult situations with courtesy and tact when dealing with the public and promoters
-Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other staff, event promoters and the general public
-Must possess valid driver’s license
-Skill in operating modern office equipment including computers
