SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Production Engineer for SMG/Osceola Heritage Park.

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining and operating all production equipment within Osceola Heritage Park. Newly installed production equipment includes a state of the art video board and messaging systems, LED lighting system, digital audio systems, and other A/V equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain all audio, lighting and video equipment;
Set up and strike equipment required for event production;
Update and maintain all technical drawings related to all audio and video equipment and signal paths;
Troubleshoot and repairing equipment, and provide technical support for events as needed;
Keep accurate inventory of tools, machinery and related equipment;
Perform off-season maintenance and preventive maintenance projects;
Manage all communications connectivity throughout the building;
Coordinate all video and audio routing throughout the facility;
User support for all software and hardware related computer issues;
Others duties as deemed necessary;

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
Three years of hands-on experience in technical support for events to include concerts and athletic events, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in Audio/Video systems, including hardware and software, lighting systems controls, and troubleshooting skills;
• Prior experience with video/matrix boards, at a fast paced arena or like venue is preferred, but not required; Daktronics experience preferred.

• Must be able to competently analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations;
• Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic;
• Proven job reliability, diligence and dedication;
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate and interface with all departments, as well as promoters and agents, assuring the finest levels of customer service;
• Must be able to interact with the public and vendors;
• Organizational and multi-task skills is essential;
• Experience in operating a fork lift is preferred;

Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft program; audio/video systems hardware and software
