Details:
Responsible professional level work. Duties include leading the operation of the box office, distributes event public relations and community information; implements front-line customer service; oversees the volunteer program and supervises part time circle desk customer service staff.
Keeps the mission, vision and values of the City of Port St. Lucie at the forefront of decision making and action; builds strategic and collaborative relationships and interacts with others in a way that builds confidence and trust; provides excellent customer service by taking action to accomplish objectives, maintains high levels of work and productivity by generating innovative solutions to work situations.
Cash handling for Box Office and other public event functions
Manage the ticket window during hours of operations
Maintains daily ticket office accounting records, balance and deposits all ticket monies daily, including but not limited to the Etix report, daily accounting reports, and promoter event audits.
Handles questions related to ticket sales and develops marketing ticket ideas and solutions for the general public and event promoters.
Compiles and builds individual events; setting up ticket prices, discounts, seating charts, and information that pertains to the event via the Etix ticketing system.
Supervises and evaluates the work of part-time customer service representatives
Opening and closing functions for the Event Center Lobby, Art Gallery Box Office, and Florida Sports Hall of Fame.
Coordination of online databases and eblast lists
Answering incoming calls on main Event Center phone number
Monitors Customer Service processes and procedures for volunteers and front-line Customer Service staff.
Oversees recruitment and training of volunteers for the Civic Center.
Plans schedule for part time staff on a monthly basis
Provides training for part-time front-line Customer Service staff and Box Office sellers
Direct guests and provides information to fulfill needs of the events and the public.
Assists, plans, and coordinates event details, graphics, and copy for social media, event fliers, website calendars, eblasts, newsletters, and Etix functions.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Marketing or a related field from an accredited college preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience in event planning, hospitality, marketing, or public relations required. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques required to organize community events.
Knowledge of event ticketing software programs
Knowledge of accounting principles and cash handling
Knowledge of promotions and advertising.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products, Adobe, and Photoshop.
Skill is the use of Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Skill in the use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
Skill in providing high level customer service to the general public.
Ability to present ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City officials, employees, and the public.
Ability to focus on the positive in every situation.
Ability to model respect for individuals, teams, and the organization.
Ability to stay centered when challenged.
Ability to establish and maintain the trust and confidence of the department and public.
