Details:
1. Create, implement and receive necessary approval (internal and external) of marketing and promotional plans for assigned projects.
a. Develops and identifies appropriate audiences and advertising avenues available to gain maximum return for the marketing and promotion of assigned events, products and projects.
b. Marketing activities include but are not limited to expertise in the negotiation and execution of:
i. Media planning
ii. Media buying
1. electronic
2. print
3. out-of-home
4. digital
5. television/radio
iii. media promotions (utilizing RFP process)
iv. 3rd party promotions (utilizing RFP process)
v. Special offers
vi. Dynamic pricing initiatives
vii. Collateral creation and distribution
viii. Social media
ix. Production requests and execution (collateral and electronic media)
x. Obtaining media sponsors
xi. Community partnerships and strategic alliances
xii. Coordinate with Group Sales to insure their collateral and information needs are met
c. Expects duties to include some nights and weekends

2. Participate in audience development initiatives,
a. Utilize behavioral, psychographic and demographic information gathered through data analytics to make decisions on appropriate audiences.
b. Work to build and expand new and diverse audiences.
3. Maintain, in a fiscally responsible manner, the marketing budgets of assigned projects.
a. Prepares, records, codes and submits event invoices and p-card for payment in a timely fashion
b. Prepares financial advertising settlements by established deadline
4. Insure that all Straz and event materials conform to accepted standards of accuracy, clarity, impact, sponsor recognition, timeliness and style.
5. At the weekly department meeting, presents an update summarizing sales, work progress, upcoming strategies, promotions, partnerships, as well as questions and roadblocks.
6. Provides effective, efficient, data-driven management of assigned events to ensure financial success
a. Continuous analysis of sales and goals, providing updated forecasts as needed
b. Pulls and reviews relevant ticketing reports via Tessitura, RMA, Segmentation Engine and associated programs
c. Based on historical data and data gathered via Tessitura, RMA and Segmentation Engine, pro-actively suggests pricing adjustments
7. Track and submit added-value/promo vs. paid media reports – 6 mos. and full-year

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
The work requires the staffer to be a motivated, organized, resourceful and creative self-starter who can manage multiple projects and ever-changing priorities and respect multiple deadlines on a tight schedule.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse population.
• Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Experience in promotions and ad planning
• Experience in media buying
• Print production knowledge considered a plus.
• Highly proficient computer skills in particular Microsoft Office 365’s Outlook, Excel and Word, knowledge of PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams desired.
• Availability to work nights and weekends, as required for events.
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Three years’ experience in marketing, advertising, arts discipline, live touring entertainment industry or related field
